Decided on green & brown with golden accents as the color scheme. The letter were printed on the home computer and then decorated with green glitter and golden beads. Outlined the letters L O V E with a black pen giving it a more 'handmade' feel. A golden thread wrapped around the 2 pieces of card stock (from K&Company) to add a little dimension and the 2 ribbons to finish it off!

Inspired by CPS
Managed a set of 4 with similar colors but the elements mix-n-match ... :) I think they are really appropriate for kids with the bright colors and smiley balloons!

My First Project
This is the first thing I made when I bought my stash of scrapbooking products :) It is a wall hanging to be gifted to my closest friends on their engagement. Since it was the first time I made something more professional and gifted it to them I was very happy with the response I got from them. I gifted it without the picture and asked S to add a picture that she liked best!
How To:
- Taped one end of a silver ribbon to one old CD and the other end to another CD. Also added a folded piece of ribbon to help hang the creation.
- Covered this side(which would be the back of the project) with normal pink card stock and stamped "With all my love" and my name & hubbies at the back.
- Used a lighter colored paper paper (from K&Company) on the first CD with an Engagement Quote (from the web). Added flower and butterfly embellishments (from K&Company) appropriate to the theme.
- Lower CD was covered with a more colorful paper (from K&Company), a small flower embellishment added and "fill your heart with love" stamped (from HeroArts) on the bottom to finish it off!
- Since a ribbon is used to to connect the CDs together, the project easily folds into a envelope. I handmade mine with some more Clear Design stamps (from HeroArts) and some acrylic paints.

First attempt at an 2S4Y competition
Didn't want another 'Happy Birthday' card so decided to make something for mom. I love pink and hearts and just put this all together to tell mom how much we kids love her -- will give it to her on my next trip to Dubai.
Here is Laura's sketch 8 (from 2 Sketches 4 You)
And my take on the sketch...
Here's a close-up. I've tried quite a few things on the camera but still can't seem to get the 'exact colors' ... just need to experiment some more and hopefully in due time it should work out!
Mom has a habit to read before going off to sleep and I thought a MOM bookmark included would be the best thing for her. The bookmark is made on an old id card and some basic scrapbooking paper (from K&Company), ribbon and shiny heart stick-on from the local store and is handwritten - I somehow still prefer this than stamping in some cases -- and the fact that right now I have just one bunch of text stamps! :)
My first entry into a competition
The task this time around is to design a 'Thank You' card, details available here.
Below is my entry into the competition.
